Yellowstone Cutthroat Trout Assessment Database and ArcMap project October 2008 This database and map project was designed for fisheries biologists and managers. The intent is to display the data gathered and edited during the assessment updates in 2006, 2007 and 2008. The database is a Microsoft Access 2000 Database. The map is an ESRI ArcMap 9.2 project. Files included on this CD are: 1. YCTAssessmentDB 2. YCTAsessmentMap 3. HyperlinkHelp_2008 4. GIS_BaseLayers Shapefiles included in the GIS_BaseLayers file: 1. Barriers_2006 2. Barriers_2007 3. Barriers_2008 4. ConservationPopulations_2006 5. ConservationPopulations_2007 6. ConservationPopulations_2008 7. CurrentDistribution_2006 8. CurrentDistribution_2007 9. CurrentDistribution_2008 10.HistoricDistribution_2006 11.HistoricDistribution_2007 12.HistoricDistribution_2008 13.Expansion Populations_2007 14.Expansion Populations_2008 15.YCT GMUs 16.YCT States ** Hydrography is not included. If you need 24k hyrography it can be downloaded from the USGS at http://nhd.usgs.gov. All files should be copied to the same directory i.e. C:\YCTAssessment If the files have been saved to a directory other than C:\YCTAssessment the hyperlinks will need to be set up. To set up the mapping application to hyperlink, read and follow the instructions in the HyperlinkHelp_2008.pdf. To use hyperlinks if files have been saved to C:\YCTAssessment just click the hyperlink tool in ArcMap and click on a feature. If you do not have the hyperlink tool available read the HyperlinkHelp.doc for instructions on adding the tool. **Edits involving record deletions for current and conservation populations were not deleted from the database, but coded for deletion. To see what records have been coded for deletion look in the database or symbolize the layer in ArcGis based on the "Delete" field. *** To ensure data edits are incorporated into the central database work through your GMU update process.
