"Battery Volts" refers to the power available to the sonde, as they run off alkaline batteries when deployed remotely. 
The sensors may begin to fail or give erratic readings if this falls below a certain level before it is noticed, and we typically omit erroneous data when summarizing the information.
We will typically highlight suspicious data in the red font to draw attention to it for further analysis, as opposed to outright omission.
