STREAMNET DATA STORE

Add Your Data Set

Use our Data Publishing Service to add your data set to the Data Store.

The StreamNet Data Store is a searchable archive of data sets related to fish and other aquatic resources that are not of the specific data types included in the main StreamNet database. These data sets come from many different sources and are provided for download in their original formats. To add your own data set to the Data Store, use our Data Publishing Service.

StreamNet did not participate in creation of most of these data sets, and we are not able to answer questions about those we did not help develop. For questions about the data sets available from this page, please contact the originator of the particular data set.

To search the Data Store, enter key words, project numbers, species, methods, etc. into the search box below and click "Search".

Project to provide VSP Estimates for Yakima Steelhead MPG

Purpose of Data Set These data sets represent sympatric resident and anadromous rearing O. mykiss abundance estimated from mark-recapture electrofishing surveys in upper Yakima Basin tributaries and in the main stem of the upper Yakima River. Total rearing abundance is partitioned into resident and anadromous life histories using PIT tag detection histories of tagged O. mykiss. This data was collected to represent total rearing abundance which can then be partitioned into the abundance of each life history type. In short, understanding how the life histories interact in the rearing areas will help fill critical data gaps for the species.
Summary / Abstract This dataset contains mark-recapture abundance estimates in upper Yakima basin tributaries and the main stem for sympatric resident and anadromous O. mykiss during the juvenile stream rearing stage (combined pre-smolt and resident fish).

Data structure description O. mykiss density is presented as Fish/km for the following streams: Manastash Creek (MAN), Swauk Creek (SWK), Taneum Creek (TAN), Middle Fork Teanaway River (MFT), West Fork Teanaway River (WFT), Mainstem Teanaway River (MST), North Fork Teanaway River (NFT), and the Yakima River (YAK; main stem; extrapolated over the reach between Roza Dam and the Cle Elum River confluence; Age 1 only). Individual fish data is routinely uploaded to Ptagis.org and associated metadata is included here in Relational Database format.
