STREAMNET DATA STORE

Add Your Data Set

Use our Data Publishing Service to add your data set to the Data Store.

The StreamNet Data Store is a searchable archive of data sets related to fish and other aquatic resources that are not of the specific data types included in the main StreamNet database. These data sets come from many different sources and are provided for download in their original formats. To add your own data set to the Data Store, use our Data Publishing Service.

StreamNet did not participate in creation of most of these data sets, and we are not able to answer questions about those we did not help develop. For questions about the data sets available from this page, please contact the originator of the particular data set.

To search the Data Store, enter key words, project numbers, species, methods, etc. into the search box below and click "Search".

Lower Granite Fall Chinook Prey Data (2019-2022)

Data Categories Diet, zooplankton, invertebrate drift
Dates of Data 2019 TO 2022
Data Set Status In work
Data Set Update Schedule Annually
Date Data Set Published on StreamNet Data Store 03-15-2023
Project Name & Number 1991-029-00
Purpose of Data Set These data were collected to better understand the diets of juvenile fall Chinook salmon that potentially delay their migration in Lower Granite Reservoir and become holdovers. In addition, we sought to better understand the prey resources that these fish use during summer when they are pelagically oriented in the reservoir.
Summary / Abstract From 2019 to 2022, data were collected on juvenile fall chinook salmon diets and prey in Lower Granite Reservoir during summer. Prey data include zooplankton and surface drift invertebrates.

Broad Category of Methods Field and Lab
Data Collection Methods Angling, zooplankton nets, drift nets
File Formats Microsoft Excel 2000 or later
Data structure description There are six main tabs in the spreadsheet and a "Readme" tab that explains all the column names in each sheet. The "lavage Field" contains all the information pertinent to the collection of fall chinook salmon diets. The "Lavage Lab" contains all the taxa, numbers, and weights of prey found in Chinook salmon diets. The "Zoo Field" sheet contains information related to the field collection of zooplankton samples. The "Zoo Lab" sheet contains all the analyzed data from the zooplankton samples. The "Drift Field" sheet contains all the data related to collection of drift samples in the field. The "Drift Lab" sheet contains all the analyzed drift data.
