STREAMNET DATA STORE

Add Your Data Set

Use our Data Publishing Service to add your data set to the Data Store.

The StreamNet Data Store is a searchable archive of data sets related to fish and other aquatic resources that are not of the specific data types included in the main StreamNet database. These data sets come from many different sources and are provided for download in their original formats. To add your own data set to the Data Store, use our Data Publishing Service.

StreamNet did not participate in creation of most of these data sets, and we are not able to answer questions about those we did not help develop. For questions about the data sets available from this page, please contact the originator of the particular data set.

To search the Data Store, enter key words, project numbers, species, methods, etc. into the search box below and click "Search".

Detection efficiency of 8-mm PIT tags in the Removable Spillway Detector

Data Categories Fish passage
PIT-tag detection efficiency
Dates of Data 2020 TO 2022
Data Set Status Complete
Data Set Update Schedule None planned
Date Data Set Published on StreamNet Data Store 03-15-2023
Project Name & Number 1991-029-00
Purpose of Data Set Staff of project 199102900 began tagging natural-origin subyearlings in Hells Canyon with 8-mm PIT tags beginning in 2016. With the installation of the RSW PIT tag detection system at Lower Granite Dam, we were interested to know what the detection efficiency was for these tags. In 2020 and 2022, 500 tagged fish were released into the RSW in each year to accomplish this goal.
Summary / Abstract The data set contains release and detection information of fish tagged with 8-mm PIT tags and released into the removable spillway (RSW) PIT detection system at Lower Granite Dam.
