Hi Allison,

I have attached a metadata file for each of the five federal agencies 
that have provided data for inclusion in the MMA Inventory. The 
paragraph that I would like to include as a caveat for the data is as 
follows:

NOT LEGALLY BINDING: The boundaries contained in these files are spatial 
representations of the approximate boundaries of sites in the National 
Marine Managed Areas Inventory (MMA Inventory). The Inventory is being 
created to support the implementation of Executive Order 13158. The 
boundaries will support planning and analysis activities that will 
contribute to the development of a national system of marine protected 
areas. The boundaries are created with the most recent and accurate 
boundary information available, but edges and/or borders of the 
boundaries may change due to natural land changes, site boundary 
modification or higher resolution maps. Therefore, the currency or 
accuracy of these boundaries can not be guaranteed and these boundary 
files can not be used to define navigation routes, enforcement efforts, 
ownership rights, or management responses.

The metadata list the MPA GIS Analyst as the POC, however Lani Watson 
has provided her contact information as well (also included is the name 
and title of our chief):

Navigate to the Public/MMA folder and download the Federal.zip file. The 
zip file contains the most current MMA GIS boundary files I have for 
each participating federal agency. As I mentioned before, these files 
have still not been approved and should therefore be treated as 'Draft 
Data'.

I will forward the updated MMA Inventory shapefiles as soon as they are 
prepared. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any 
further assistance.
