STREAMNET DATA STORE
The StreamNet Data Store is a searchable archive of data sets related to fish and other aquatic resources that are not of the specific data types included in the main StreamNet database. These data sets come from many different sources and are provided for download in their original formats. To add your own data set to the Data Store, use our Data Publishing Service.
StreamNet did not participate in creation of most of these data sets, and we are not able to answer questions about those we did not help develop. For questions about the data sets available from this page, please contact the originator of the particular data set.
To search the Data Store, enter key words, project numbers, species, methods, etc. into the search box below and click "Search".

Summary / Abstract
|
This report and data are a culmination of a three year inventory, assessment and prioritization of fish passage within all of Wallowa County, OR. These data include all land ownerships where possible (private, state, BLM, Forest Service and Tribal). The field portion of this project involved the inventory and assessment of each site. A site was defined not only as culverts, but as anything that would potentially have an impact on fish passage. In addition to the above quantitative inventory and assessment, there was also a qualitative assessment performed for each site. This was a subjective call made by the trained field crews as to other potential impacts to passage that were not already captured in the measurements collected. The protocol was a standardized method that is nationally adopted across the Forest Service.
The office portion of this project was to verify, review and perform QA/QC on all collected data. The data QA/QC was conducted on an on-going basis as the data were collected. In addition, electronic PDAs were used to eliminate data entry errors. After all of the data were obtained, a group of biologists were convened to determine an appropriate methodology to prioritize the barrier crossings. This group consisted of personnel from ODFW, Nez Perce Tribe, NMFS, and USFWS. The formula was then used for all sites. A final prioritization was then agreed upon by all parties.
