The StreamNet Data Store is a searchable archive of data sets related to fish and other aquatic resources that are not of the specific data types included in the main StreamNet database. These data sets come from many different sources and are provided for download in their original formats. To add your own data set to the Data Store, use our Data Publishing Service.
StreamNet did not participate in creation of most of these data sets, and we are not able to answer questions about those we did not help develop. For questions about the data sets available from this page, please contact the originator of the particular data set.
To search the Data Store, enter key words, project numbers, species, methods, etc. into the search box below and click "Search".

Data Collection Methods
|
Angling and electrofishing were used to collect fish in the field. Smallmouth bass stomach contents were identified to major taxomonic group: insects, crustaceans, fish, and other. Fish species and length at ingestion were identified from diagnostic bones and associated regressions (Hansel et al. 1988; Rogers and Burley 1991; Rieman et al. 1991; Vigg et al. 1991; Parrish et al. 2006). Consumption of different prey taxa was expressed as percent frequency of occurrence and percent weight on a seasonal basis.

Data structure description
|
This is the companion data set to the smallmouth bass catch data. Both data sets are linked by the "Sample" number. It is important to read the "Read me" tab where you will find the definitions of all the column names.
